ShirleyDRINKWATERShirley Drinkwater, of Crawshawbooth, peacefully passed away at home with her family by her side on Sunday, March 21, aged 85. Recently bereaved by her late husband Douglas, she leaves behind her children Carl, Mark and Alison, along with grandchildren. She worked in local schools, better known for working at Alder Grange where she was a Registrar. Her main passion was music which she shared for many years with her husband Douglas. She was a member of Rossendale Ladies Choir and Valley Aloud Community Choir; although this was her passion she loved her garden, spending many happy hours there. Due to the current restrictions in place, a private family funeral service and committal will take place on Monday, April 12, at Accrington Crematorium. Family flowers only; donations if desired in memory of Shirley to Rossendale Hospice c/o funeral director Caroline Holden-Dewhurst for Johnson, Durning & Woods Funeral Service, Haslingden.
