AlanDRUMMONDWe are sad to announce the death of Alan Drummond (8/2/47 - 29/9/24).
A lifelong Plymothian, Alan began his working life as a carpenter before serving as a local government housing officer for many years and finishing his career in the Derriford branch of B&Q. He will be known to many as a keen amateur bike rider, long-time member of the St Budeaux Cycling Club and organiser of the Plymouth International Cycling Week.
In retirement, he was a committed Marie Curie fundraiser and served as Chairman of the Friends of Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, a place that was always close to his heart.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he died peacefully at home and is survived by his wife Carol and children Paul and Andrea.
Alan's death will be marked by a Funeral Mass at St Peter's, Crownhill at 10.00am on Wednesday 23rd October, followed by a committal at The Park Crematorium at 11.30am on the same day.
Family flowers only are requested and the dress code is flexible - Alan always liked a bit of colour in his wardrobe.
