Wilma ScottDRURY (Pringle)It is with great sadness that I announce the peaceful passing of Wilma Drury on 24 December at the North Tyneside General Hospital. She was 93 years old. Beloved mother to her sons, Paul and Timothy, sister to Jeanette, wife to her late husband, the Reverend Esmond Peter Drury, mother-in-law to Christine and Elizabeth, and treasured grandmother to Andrew and James. In her professional life, Wilma was a respected dentist who dedicated her career to serving her local community from the Whitley Bay Health Centre. A violinist and piano player, Wilma's performances of classical music were shared with local musicians in duets, trios, quartets and orchestral arrangements. A service in memory of Wilma will be held at Holy Saviours Church in Tynemouth on Wednesday 18 January at 12.00. A family committal at the Whitley Bay Crematorium will follow. Following the funeral, a reception will be held at the Grand Hotel, Tynemouth. Friends and family are invited to come to pay their respects and celebrate her life.
