PhilipDUFOUR(Gateshead, formerly Forest Hall) We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Philip Dufour, aged 49, who passed away on the evening of 9th March 2023. Born in Forest Hall and living most of his adult life in Gateshead. Phil passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with the Big C. He was surrounded by all his family and his little pooch Teddi. Phil was full of wit and problem solving superpowers, he was the handyman everyone needed. Phil was supported by an amazing nursing team who he was very fond of, they became angels, especially Julie, Jan and Ash. He leaves behind his beloved husband Mark, his superstar children Ethan and Amy. His parents Joan and Geordie who he adored dearly as well as his mother-in-law Kath who was like a second mother to him. He also left behind his sister Jaqueline and brother-in-law Barry, as well as sister-in-law Kerry and brother-in-law Kyle who enriched his life so much, as well as his nieces and nephews, Owen, Josh, Rhys, Paddy and Nola who provided him with endless entertainment. Phil also left behind a large group of friends and family who loved him dearly and made his journey through life so much more fulfilling. The most important thing Phil left behind was his memories which will be treasured forever by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. Phil's Funeral Service will take place at West Road Crematorium, Newcastle on Thursday 23rd March at 2:15pm. Phil's favourite colour was red so he would love you all to wear a splash of red in his memory. Family flowers only, as Phil wished to give to charities dear to his heart; a collection box will be available at the Crematorium, with donations being received on behalf of Cancer and Animal Charities. I can still see your beautiful face as a 4 year old in reception. Such a kind, lovely boy. So sad for your loved ones. Rest in peace. X
