JosephDUNLEAVYOn Thursday, April 8, peacefully in East Lancashire Hospice, Joe aged 86, of Accrington. The beloved husband of Sylvia, dearly loved dad of Patricia, Kathleen, Carolyn and stepson Craig, loved father-in-law of John, Gary, Mark and Julie, also a devoted grandad and great-grandad. Joe was a well known and popular entertainer throughout his life both here and in Spain, performing under the name of Joey Dean. He had a great following and was at his happiest on stage singing and as a comedian. Joe loved the way of life in Spain and he and Sylvia spent much time there. In his earlier years, Joe’s greatest hobby was for caring for his beloved greyhounds. A gentleman who loved and was loved by his family, he will be sadly missed by all. A private family funeral took place on Wednesday, April 14 with Requiem Mass in St Anne’s Church, Accrington, followed by cremation at Accrington Crematorium.
