Goodbye Uncle Ken. Always remember when you came down to Ringwood and got sun burnt.

I still have the teddy bear you bought for me when I was born. It’s been around the world with me and is still very treasured 61 years later.

Rest In Peace. X

From when I was so little, Saturday would be the day we would visit. It was never a chore and always a treat. I would open the door and find you sitting in the same seat.

You’d tell me funny stories and let me comb your hair. You always had a joke to say and lots of time to spare.

I always remember looking up at you in the kitchen and thinking - gosh you are so very tall!. Getting ready to go to the pub to see your friends and no doubt have a ball.

Your happy place was the garden where we would play and pick the peas, I used to like to eat them and you’d say, “save some for our teas!”

You taught me so much grandad, of how I ought to be. I hope you’re looking down on me and proud of what you see.

My children were so lucky, to have met you and to call you “grandad Ken”, I will tell them all about you, until we meet again.

I love you Grandad
