DerekDUQUEMINMr Derek John Duquemin, of Mallard Place, Oswaldtwistle passed away on Sunday, November 7, aged 85. Derek was born in Guernsey in December 1935, and was evacuated at the age of four during WW2 in June 1940, to Lancashire. During his childhood he was a keen swimmer and diver. Derek lived in Accrington with his wife Hilda and their children. He enjoyed holidays in their static caravan in Morecambe. During his career, Derek was a HGV driver for Daisy Dairy, followed by long distance driving to Europe and the Middle East, finishing his career at Gilbraith Tankers. Derek will be sadly missed by his children, grandchildren and his extended family. A small family ceremony will take place at Accrington Crematorium on Wednesday, November 24, at 12.20pm.
