Born in Weston Super Mare, Alan Durbin lived a full and joyous life in and around North Somerset. He was commissioned into the Army as Captain in the Royal Dental Corps, serving in 23 Parachute Field Ambulance. Upon returning, he established a thriving dental practice in Portishead, serving the community.
A proud Old Bristolian and Somerset cricket enthusiast, Alan was an avid marathon runner, a long-distance cyclist, and a valued member and Chairman of the Nailsea Running Club for many years.
Devoted husband to Elizabeth, a loving father to Charlotte, Tom, Emily, and Polly, and a dedicated grandfather to Oliver, Lola, Bonnie, Ruby, Henry, and Eliza.
A funeral service in his honour will be held on January 5th at 12.45 at South Bristol Crematorium. His legacy of selflessness and resilience will continue to inspire those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
