WilliamEAGEREAGER - WILLIAM Arthur (Bill) 16th November 2008. Peacefully in the presence of his beloved Wife Violet at their home 40 Birkdale Avenue, Colwyn Bay. Aged 83 years, devoted Father of Christopher, Brian, Betty and Alan. Much loved Grandad of all his Grandchildren and also his Great Grandaughter. A loyal member of the Royal British Legion, Colwyn Bay branch, who will be sadly missed by all his many friends. Public Funeral on Monday 1st December 2008. Service and committal at Colwyn Bay Crematorium at 3.00pm. Family flowers only please but if desired donations will be gratefully received in memory of Bill towards The St Davids Hospice and also The Royal British Legion Colwyn Bay branch c/o R.Roberts & Son Funeral Directors, 7 Church Drive Rhos on Sea Colwyn Bay Tel: 01492 547409

Bill was always kind enough to give me plenty of material when I wrote articles on ww2. He was often the standard bearer during the legion's march past on Remembrance Day. I remember him with great affection as one who helped put pay to the Ted's dreams of world conquest.
