MelEDDISONOn June 16th 2019, peacefully at his home in Failsworth surrounded by his loving family, formerly of Salford. Mel aged 71 years. Beloved Son of Frances and the late Bill. Dearly loved Husband of Patricia for 54 years. Loving Dad of Darren, Justin and Neil, Father-In-Law of Michelle and Julie. Devoted Grandad of Thomas, Melissa, Jasmine, Georgia, Daisy, Mason and Jasper. Also a much loved Brother, Brother-In-Law, Uncle and Friend to many. ''Beautiful Memories that will last forever xxxx'' Funeral Service to be held at Oldham (Hollinwood) Crematorium Chapel on Thursday, July 4th at 11:00am, followed by Interment in Failsworth Cemetery. Flowers may be sent or donations if desired c/o Harold P. Heywood & Co Ltd (Failsworth) Tel: 0161-681-1383.

Only just found this…..absolutely gutted!! Mel was a great friend (and brew shop) with Darren at wrigley head when I was a local Bobby. Rest in peace pal, such a character (helped me out a few times) ….Steve Turner

My Dad and I are so terribly sorry to hear that Mel is no longer with us.
A life long friend if Fad ( Bramwell) and my Mum ( Muriel ) before she passed away 9 years ago.
Unfortunately Dad and I were away on the start of a two week cruise vacation and only got your message of the bad news today on our return home sorry we could not attend the funeral we would both have come if we had not already been away on vacation.
Losing Melvin will leave a big hole in all your lives especially Pat and Daren and Allan .
Our deepest heart felt sympathy’s to you all.
But life does go on,
