Hazel BerylEDEIt is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Hazel Beryl Ede, affectionately known as Dinky, on Wednesday 13th March 2024. Dinky peacefully passed away in the same room and house where she was born and spent her entire life in Ewhurst, with her beloved husband Tony at her side. Dinky's life was interwoven with the fabric of Ewhurst, from her early days attending the village school, exchanging vows at the local church and volunteering at a variety of the village clubs and causes. She will forever be in the hearts and minds of her Children, Grandchildren, Great Grandchild and everyone whom she has touched and helped over the years. A service to celebrate Dinky's life and legacy will be held at Guildford Crematorium on Monday 8th April at 3.45. Following the service, friends and family are invited to the Guildford Rugby Club to reminisce and honour her memory. The family requests that donations be made to Phyllis Tuckwell in Dinky's memory in lieu of flowers, a testament to her giving nature.
