EricEDWARDS(Normandy Veteran, East Yorkshire Regiment) Peacefully at rest at Rowan Court Nursing Home, Newcastle on Sunday 19th June 2022. Eric aged 96 years late of Hempstalls Hall Care Home, Westbury Park, Clayton and Porthill. A Loving husband to the late Brenda, Much loved dad of Yvonne and Glyn, father-in-law to Jackie and Simon. Loving grandad to Thomas, Holly, George and Edward. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Service at St. Giles Parish Church, Newcastle on Friday July 22nd at 12.45pm Followed by Cremation at Bradwell Crematorium. Will all those wishing to attend please meet at the Church. Family flowers only please, Donations can be given in memory of Eric for the Royal British Legion or the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, either via our website: www.leeses.co.uk/online-donations or care of the Funeral Director. It was such an honour to know Eric and have so very many conversations with him over the past few years. This photograph shows such a very proud man, who's love for his family was always evident. I will always remember Eric.

What a wonderful photograph of Eric, I feel privileged to have known Eric and cared for him over the past few years. He was a true gentleman with the kindest heart. I will certainly miss him, Rest in peace Eric x
