We are sorry to hear of the passing of Charlie. Graham Martin (son of Douglas Martin), Denise Ashbee (daughter of Douglas Martin) and Josephine (Doug's former partner), all wish to convey our deepest sympathies.
Douglas met Charlie when they worked as telegram boys together in the Post Office, all those years ago. They shared a passion for jazz and big band music, and remained friends throughout their lives.
May they both rest in peace.
