David was to me a very dear and favorite cousin. Someone who I have known all my life, and a person I've looked up to. David has been there for me in happy days and times of trouble, always ready to help. What a great day when he received the MBE which was well deserved for all his hard work with GLARAC. May he rest in peace and rise in glory. 'Till we meet again David.

Knowing David and Dorothy since I was a child as the younger brother of Tony who married Kathleen, David's sister. In later years both myself and wife Pauline got to know David and Dorothy much better and feel we became good friends, often speaking on the phone or latterly visiting them in Lightwood. A great character who called a spade a spade, didn't hold back but was entirely honest and truthful, David was very special and we will all miss him.
