The Reidy Family, Tom, Pelagia, Christopher and Liam were saddened to learn that our dear friend Derek passed away. I first met Derek in Zimbabwe and we played much football together as well as sharing both a house and flat in Bulawayo, as well as taking several holidays together in the the region. He was a true and great friend and on our return to the UK we kept in touch and although we did not see each other as often as we would have liked we always spoke before and after his beloved Everton played my beloved Arsenal! It was great to watch the 2017 cup final at his flat in Birmingham and that he could travel to Camberley for a BBQ later that summer (the last time that we saw him). We came across this tribute page as a last resort, having tried to make contact several times and aware that he was unwell. Love and best wishes to Joan and Family. RIP Derek.
