Sadly passed away in hospital on 23rd July 2026, aged 89 years.

Beloved Husband of Elizabeth, dearly loved Father of Ann and Beth, much loved Gramps of Michael, Rhianne, Carl and Andrew, and a cherished Great-Gramps.

During his working life, Rex was a HGV driver and crane operator and later worked as a warden at the National Museum of Wales before his retirement.

A lifelong lover of the outdoors, Rex had a particular affection for the Swiss mountains. He greatly enjoyed cycling, running and mountain climbing, and for many years could be found making his weekly climb up Pen y Fan. His love of the mountains remained an important part of his life.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all his family and friends.

The funeral will take place on Thursday, 27th August 2026, with a service at Glyntaff Crematorium Chapel at 12.15 p.m., followed by committal at Cefn-y-Parc Cemetery at 1.30 p.m.
