MarianENTWISTLEMrs Marian Entwistle (nee Singleton) of Roe Greave Road, Oswaldtwistle, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday 25th June, aged 85 years. Marian was born in Accrington & as a girl she attended Peel Park Primary School & later Accrington High School for Girls. She went on to work as a Weaver & Shop Assistant, before having the pleasure of being Nanny to Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren. She loved reading, Knitting & handcrafts, & enjoyed travelling on many holidays abroad with husband Albert, & took great joy in the company of family. She leaves behind beloved husband of 66 years, Albert, children Elaine, Raymond & Darren, Grandchildren Jennifer, Simon, Bethany & Rebecca, Great-grandchildren Daisy, Sam, Isaac & Alice, sisters Dorothy & Edith, son-in-law Bill & daughter-in-law Jill. She will be lovingly remembered & greatly missed by family & friends. The family would like to thank the District Nurses, the Palliative Care Team & the Carers for the invaluable comfort & support they provided. A celebratory service for Marian will be held at Accrington Crematorium on Thursday 11th July at 1.00 p.m. Family flowers only please, but donations in Marian's memory to Macmillan Cancer Support would be welcome via tributefunds.macmillan.org.uk/in-memory/marian-entwistle or c/o Hyndburn Funeral Services, Queens Road, Accrington Tel: 01254 233133.

Marian was a lovely woman, very much like my own mother Emily. They were good friends too! She will be sorely missed by everyone that knew her. Our deepest sympathy and condolences to all the family and especially to Albert her husband of an amazing 66 years
