A lovely neighbour who will be so missed. Nothing was too much trouble for Derrick. The grandchildren loved him, he really did have a way with children. RIP Derrick. From Les, Wendy and family

I have very fond memories of my favourite uncle. Phil and I really enjoyed seeing you in Cardiff recently and listening to you reminiscing about your adventures in Penarth as a young lad. We will miss you.

Lovely to see you a little over a year ago in good health, full of fun and studying quantum physics! Annie marvelled at your magic tricks and you made us all laugh. Rest in peace Uncle Derrick. X
