RaymondEVANSMr Raymond Evans, of Burnley Road East, Lumb, Rossendale, passed away at home on Thursday, July 1, aged 78. He was a self-employed dry stone waller by trade. His hobbies included football and watching Burnley FC, together with dominoes and fishing. Raymond won many trophies for football and pool. In his spare time he liked to visit his allotment and kept chickens. He coached the girls’ football at Rossendale United. He was also a member of Lumb Valley Anglers, a former member of the Commercial Pub pool team, and former coach and manager of the pub’s football team. He leaves long-time partner Judith, and children Brent, Pauline, Matthew, Michael and Katy. He also leaves grandchildren Gareth, Rachel, Liam and Levi, together with greatgrandchildren Harvey, Ellie, Owen, Ruby and Millie. Raymond will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. A funeral service was due to be held at 9.15am on Thursday, July 15, at Burnley Crematorium, administered by Neil Overton. Family flowers only please, however donations, if desired, suggested to British Heart Foundation.
