Thomas David MelbourneEVANSIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas David Melbourne Evans - "Melby of Gilfach, Mydroilyn" on June 19th, 2022. He passed away suddenly but peacefully whilst celebrating Father's Day with his family in Berkshire where he lived. Beloved husband of the late Vera and father of Jacqueline, loving brother of the late Bet and cherished father-in-law, cousin and friend. Melby for many years, cared for the elderly in Ware, Hertfordshire as Care Manager of Millbrook Care Home, before enjoying his retirement with his family and cherishing his time as store keeper for Club Triumph. Melby was much loved and respected by the community he served and his neighbours, but never forgetting his Welsh routes by engaging with the London Welsh Society and his passion for Welsh male voice choirs and rugby. Service to be held at Gorwel Funeral Home, 32 Bridge Street, Lampeter, Ceredigion SA48 7AA at 12:30pm on Wednesday, 13th July. The burial will then take place immediately after the service at Mydroilyn Chapel, Mydroilyn, Ceredigion. Family flowers only but donations, if desired to Thames Valley Air Ambulance, maybe given to Gwilym Price Son and Daughters, 1 & 2 College Street, Lampeter, Ceredigion.
