Ruth was Mrs Evison to me. I lived next-door-but-one, and was a childhood friend to Carol. Ruth was endlessly kind to us as children, and there were always home-baked cookies in a big square tupperware box in the larder. Ruth even managed to control her rage when Carol and I were caught dumping huge piles of leaves on people's heads who were waiting at the bus stop, sitting on the bus stop bench just under Ruth's garden wall. What a kind person Ruth was, and what a great friend to my mother, they went to pilates together for years

I worked with Ruth at the Montreal General Hospital in the early 60's. Patient's really connected with Ruth and she was able to reassure them during various x-ray procedures. I moved to Vancouver shortly after Ruth and family and we remained good friends and in touch reguarly. Be at peace. Julia Vlaszaty
