Our father, a man who embodied strength, dignity, and love in everything he did. He built a successful career as a businessman in Coventry’s clothing manufacturing industry, but his work didn’t stop with professional success. He dedicated himself to service.
He was a true pillar of the community, being a long time active member of organisations like Rotary and other clubs. His strong and innate sense of helping others was reflected in every role he took on: he was a long serving magistrate in Coventry of 40 years—chairing the bench an unprecedented three times; a Non-Executive Director for NHS Coventry, where he spent years ensuring health care delivery remained accountable and accessible; Ambassador for Coventry University, involved in the running of charities like Relate and the Carers Trust; and a volunteer at the contact centre every Saturday, sacrificing his own time to supervise visits between parents and children.
He adored his family, and family was everything to him. He will be remembered through the lessons he taught us and in the lives he has touched.
