Treasured memories of doing business with Scunthorpe Borough Council when Roy was there. Such a lovely and fair minded man who ribbed me relentlessly for being a Sheffield Wednesday fan. Rest in peace, and sincere condolences to all the family.

Very sad to hear of Roy’s passing. He was a true gentleman and gave such a huge amount to the local community through his Red Cross work and his first aid training.

So sorry to hear of Roy's passing. Met him many times at the side of a football pitch was always a pleasure to chat with him. So many footballers in this area were lucky to have such as Roy doing his job. Condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.
