MIss Sonia Maud Ferriaday
Sonia as a little girl played in Tonna Road alongside friends and smaller brother Roy under the watchful eye of her mother Dilys and Farther Leonard Ferriaday a miner,
surrounded by Uncles, Aunts, cousins and friends, a safe time and a fun place to grow up.
As she grew up into a beautiful woman she met and married Derwyn Howells a soldier who drove lorries and later worked at Howells Dairies in Caerau Road. They had a son Derek but after Derwyns passing and Sonia a young woman left alone with a young child decided to move on with her life
Meeting John Morgan who worked in fashions. John and Sonia had two children Andre and Rachel
As a family with the two children they moved around the country and had a happy time living in Port Talbot near the sea.Moving back to Maesteg Sonia opened. Fashion Boutique, Fashion Flares Upstairs ,for the young and trendy people of Maesteg.Andre grew up playing football and learning Karate while Rachel as a young child would not go to school unless she choose the clothes to wear and had her colourful shoes on her feet( fashion running through the family)
Later Sonia and John had a milk round in Caerau and sweet shop in Caerau Road, while later Sonia and John were divorced they stayed friends and as we find out ourselves
Life is a long song.Which brings us to today.
