Malcolm ClayFINKILLMalcolm Clay Finkill died on 20 January 2024 at Brookfield Care Home, Lazenby, aged 84. After bravely living with Alzheimer's for more than seven years, he is now reunited with his adored late wife, June.

Malcolm was the much loved father of Caroline and Vanessa; devoted grandad to Lauren, Jackson, Callum and Lewis, and dear father-in-law to Gary and Stephen.

A former chairman of Middlesbrough and District Coldstream Guards Association, Malcolm was a true gentleman and a friend to all.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday 6 February 2024 at Kirkleatham Crematorium, where there will be a collection for Brookfield residents' activity fund. It will be followed by burial at Redcar Cemetery.

Family and friends are welcome to meet afterwards at Cleveland Golf Club, Redcar.

Malcolm, very dearly loved friend of the late John Ferguson and loved and respected by all the Ferguson family. Our hearts go out to Caroline, Vanessa and all their family in their sad loss. Malcolm was a unique and kind man who will never be forgotten.

Such an amazing man & a true friend! He was an absolute diamond & one in a million. He was so well respected and as the Coldstream Guards motto suggests - Nulli Secundus “Second to None”!
