DerekFITTONFamily are sorry to announce the death of Derek Fitton on July 10 at Royal Blackburn Hospital.
He leaves his wife, Ann of almost 40 years, daughter Louise and son-in-law Kieron, daughter Linda and son-in-law Michael, his son Andy and daughter-in-law Kasia, six grand-children, and nieces and nephews. Derek loved his family. He was a larger-than-life character loved by many.
He was also a comedian who loved making everyone laugh. He started work at CWS Slipper Works, then onto Hardie’s Furnishing, eventually working for Voight in Ramsbottom, formerly Porritts & Spencer.
His funeral will take place at Accrington Crematorium on Friday, August 9, at 11.40am.
Donations in Derek’s memory are welcomed for the British Heart Foundation.
