JoanFLETCHERDied peacefully at home in Mobberley on Friday 7th December at home; Joan aged 93 years. A much loved sister, aunt, colleague and friend. Former Headteacher of St. Pius X and Cardinal Newman High School for Girls. Her Requiem Mass will be held at St. Cuthbert's Church, Withington on Wednesday 19th December at 12:00noon prior to interment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Wardley. R.I.P.

Very sad to hear that Joan had died. I first met her in 1966 and then was given a post by her in 1980. I met her several times after she retired along with her close friend Madeleine. I regret not learning of her death until yesterday so unfortunately did not attend her requiem mass, held coincidentally at the very church where my husband and I were married. Rest In Peace, Joan.

I was a pupil at St Pius school in the 1960s Miss Fletcher was an excellent headteacher .She was always very kind to me. RIP Miss Fletcher. From Anne Everett.
