MarleneFLETCHERMarlene Fletcher, of Ash Cottage, Edenfield, died on Monday, February 7. Marlene worked in cotton mills in her early years, and later gave up paid work to bring up four children. During their time together, Marlene and her husband Ronnie were never apart, and enjoyed many family holidays cruising. In the 1970s they owned a cafe in Stacksteads. In her later years, Marlene enjoyed car boot sales and spending time with her family. Marlene will be sadly missed. Married to Ronnie, who passed away in 1996, Marlene was mum to daughter Yvonne and son Shane and the late Gary and Craig. She also leaves son-in-law Frank, sisters Doreen, Rita and Mavis, 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Tuesday, February 22 at 11.30am at Burnley Crematorium. Family flowers; donations to the British Heart Foundation.
