Christine AnneFLETCHER“Anne” - formerly of Moss Hall Road, Accrington has passed away peacefully after a long illness at Andrew Smith House, Stocks Hall Care Home, Nelson at the age of 81 on December 1st.
The dearly loved wife of Eric for 60 years, much loved mother of Mark, Terry and Jason, a loving mother-in-law and a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. Anne was also a dear sister, sister-in-law and auntie. Anne (nee Sagar) was educated at Paddock House, Convent Grammar School, Oswaldtwistle and enjoyed a long and varied career working at Kearns, Allan & Co, LCC at County Hall Preston, Courtaulds Ltd, LCC at Blackburn Town Hall, and for the final 17 years as a communications officer at Lancashire Constabulary. She retired in 2002. Anne was a Special Constable with the Police for many years rising to the rank of Sub Divisional Officer.
She also enjoyed many interests including holidays, cruises, caravanning, crosswords and walking.
A Requiem Mass will be held on Monday, December 16th at St Joseph’s RC Church, Accrington at 12pm followed by a burial at Accrington Cemetery.
