Donald William - C.B.E.FORDAfter a short illness, Don passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve at home, New Bewley, Bolton, Appleby. Aged 91 years. Loving husband of the late Joyce Ruth and dearly loved father of Robert and Sally. He was the adored grandfather of Rachael and William and took great delight in his great grandchildren, Hattie and Freddie. He was a dear brother, uncle and friend to many. Private funeral service will be held at All Saints Church, Bolton on Saturday 9th January at 11am. He will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife Joyce. Family flowers only are requested. If desired donations in memory of Don may be made to Hospice at Home, Carlisle and North Lakeland and can be sent c/o Walkers Funeral Directors, Chapel Street, Appleby in Westmorland, CA16 6QR.
