John JeffersonFOREMANPeacefully, on 7th October 2024 in the care of Scunthorpe General Hospital, dearly loved husband of Dorothy for 59 years. Loving father of Richard and James, and loving father-in-law of Pia and Vicky. Cherished "Pop" of William and grandad of Oscar.

Following the cremation, a service to celebrate John's life and love of words and music will be held at St. Andrew's Church, Burton-upon-Stather on Monday 28th October at 11:30 am.

Family flowers only please, but donations in John's memory to Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance may be sent direct to the charity or left at the service.

Chris and I would like to offer our condolences to Dorothy and the family and apologise for not attending the funeral on 28 November.
I knew John for over 50 years as a colleague ; he was a man of integrity and greatly respected. He was recognised widely as an expert in his field.

Dear Dorothy, I'm so very sorry to hear about John. He was such a lovely, interesting man. He used to be so enthusiastic telling me about his train journeys through France. He was a stalwart of village and church life and will be missed greatly by the community. I will be thinking of you, and send my sincere condolences at this difficult time. Love Anne Stubley Black xx
