WilliamFOSTERMr William Foster, of Whitewell Court, Waterfoot, died on Saturday, February 12. William was a factory worker for many years at Bury, Cooper and Whiteheads, Waterfoot. He loved to sing and enjoyed socialising at the Waterfoot Working Men’s Club. He also loved bingo, and especially enjoyed family get-togethers. Married to Mary Foster who passed away in 1984, he leaves five children, Susan, Mark, Tina, Wendy and Jane, 17 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren, five surviving brothers, and two surviving sisters; his sister Mary died in 2021. A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Wednesday, March 2, at 1pm at Knight & Boys Chapel of Rest, Stacksteads, followed by interment at Bacup Cemetery, led by Philip Norris.
