I am so sorry to hear of the passing away of such a wonderful man. I had the pleasure of playing with Terry when he moved to Newcastle under Lyme after he had finished touring and will always remember the good times we had in the flat in Grovesnor Road. Rest in Peace Terry.

In memory of a wonderful neighbour, friend, husband, father and grandfather. Terry was an inspiration to many, a true original.

Terry was never less than the most stimulating of company. He was, of course, a highly talented writer, poet, musician and performer. Probably the quality I will remember him best for, though, is the respect and rapt attention he paid to others when their turn came to take the stage. Whether to raw amateur or professional, Terry was always ready to offer his feedback and encouragement.

He's fondly remembered.

Terry was a true original. We met when he was my poetry and creative writing tutor at uni in 2002. He was also an incredible musician and wonderful raconteur of his times in the 1960’s and 70’s music scene. The memories live on.

Terry was a true professional as a musician, poet and inspirational performer. I regret not getting to know him better and not sharing more time with him. He was a loving and caring husband and father who will be sadly missed. I still have a letter, from Terry from many years ago, giving me praise and encouragement for my singing efforts. Terry didn't need to write that letter but it inspired me to work hard and try to be better. I'm sure he did this kindness for many others. He will be remembered for his generous spirit and his gentle love of humanity. We will all miss you Terry. John Dodd
