MarjorieFRANCISMarjie, formerly of 3, Castle Street, Beaumaris, passed away peacefully on 11th January 2024 aged 97 years at Plas Garnedd, Nursing Home, Pentraeth. Wife of the late James and sister of the late Tudor Roberts. She is survived by close family members Bill, Mairwen, Richard and an extended family of many great nephews and nieces. She was born on May 31st 1926 at Central Stores, Beaumaris, youngest child of Willie and Oretta Roberts. Marjie worked in the family business for many years before setting up her own grocery store, Victoria Stores. As an astute businesswoman she developed a thriving and successful business supplying quality groceries to the people of Beaumaris and surrounding villages. The family would like to thank enormously all the staff at Plas Garnedd for their devoted care, their kindness will never be forgotten. Funeral on Friday January 26th, public service at St Mary's and Nicholas Church at 11.30am. Followed by interment at Beaumaris Cemetery. Family flowers only but donations if desired will be gratefully accepted towards Alzheimer's Society c/o Funeral Director (Melvin Rowlands) 29 Castle Street, Beaumaris, Anglesey, LL58 8AP. Dearest Marjie, she was a good friend with a wicked sense of humour that always made me laugh. She was my confidant and a good secret keeper. I have missed her, and will always miss her.
