Kirstie's tribute and donation to The Kirkwood Hospice reminded us that I had forgotten to do the same. I will receive no further news from Leeds University Medical School Anatomy Department, but I know for sure that we wouldn't be able to train young doctors and surgeons without the generosity of people like Peggy.
She first talked to me about donating her body to Medical Science some forty years ago and I am proud and very pleased to have been instrumental in ensuring that her resolute wish was carried out.
They definitely broke the mould when Peggy was cast nearly ninety-six years ago - long may she live on in the memories of all those who knew her.

My favourite photo of you Nanna and the way I like to remember you now.

I will always be grateful for having you in my life for so long. As promised myself, Ian, James and Jessica will look after Callie and love her just as much as you did. Just as you asked last time we spoke, she is behaving herself!!!! Lots of love xxx

Many thanks to the support at home that Kirkwood Hospice gave my Nanna in her final days. Although not connected to Kirkwood I also want to thank the care team and Marie Curie who also played a huge part in looking after Nanna in the last few months of her life.

Nanna I will forever be grateful to have had you in my life for so long. Myself, Ian, Jessica and James will look after Callie and love her just as much as you did. Just as you asked, she is behaving herself! Lots of love xxx

Peggy will be helping medical students at Leeds University Medical School for the foreseeable future. They should consider themselves lucky that she can’t tell them off for their manners, dress or politics! Farewells Peggy. Kim & Sue (Susan no longer applies)
