The obituary notice of Tony FRANKISH

I have just learned of the passing of Tony and am very saddened. I’m so sorry for your loss. I worked at the same school as Tony in Düsseldorf in 2008/2009 and although we did not work closely together, Tony’s dedication to teaching, his professionalism and his creativity were obvious. It was my first teaching job and Tony was very generous with his time and his expertise - I learned a lot from him and he made a huge and very distinct impression on me and on the school and students . Sincere condolences to Tony’s family. May he rest in peace.

So very very sad to hear his passing. I was fortunate enough to be his girlfriend in the late Spider days and beyond. I can still see his Cheshire grin and hear his laugh. So sorry we lost touch through the years. He had a lot to give in life, and he did. You will be missed by many. Night night. Bekki.

Had the pleasure of working closely with Tony in Saudi: he brought real integrity and care to his work. A proper teacher with a compassionate, caring approach to students who struggled. He had a massive impact when he arrived in Saudi. RIP Mate.

Truly gutted. I am really sorry for your loss. Tony and I worked together & often hung out after, travelling to Bahrain on occasion. He came to visit me in Salford a few years ago too, fun times. In my first year here in Saudi he gave me a lift to work every day as I was saving for a car. Always generous and kind in his actions, conversely dry and sardonic in his humour, a heart of gold.
He was creative, insightful, a true pleasure to be around. Really missed.
I can still hear his distinctive laugh.

Thinking of Tony’s loved ones at this deeply sad time. Tony will always be a very important person to me. Through Sixth Form and beyond and of course Spiders, he was always good company, well dressed and into cool films, music and art. I certainly looked up to him and his easy manner and effortless way around everyone. Although we lost touch, I have thought of him often and his good influence; his kindness; his genuine care for others. I’m a better person for knowing him. Deeply saddened and shocked to have learnt of his passing. Sending love to you all xxx

So sorry to hear of this sad news, a wonderful guy taken from us. Fond memories from the 80s with day trips out with Tony’s cousin Karl. And in more recent years when Tony was home having a few pints and great conversations on topics including the lush greenery of the UK to global politics. Rest in peace Tony I will miss you out chats and your humour.
