The obituary notice of Keith Stewart FRASER

So sad to hear of Mr Fraser’s passing. He was my favourite teacher and I learnt more from him than anyone else. I can’t travel around Scotland without seeing all the geographical features he taught about, and how they were formed. Even how our weather works. Always enjoyed his mountain rescue stories, remember he told a story about a sheep that got stuck on a cliff and he had to wear it like a backpack!

A lovely man and a truly inspirational teacher.

So sorry to hear the sad news on Mr Fraser's passing. My thoughts go out to his family and friends. He was a kind man who always had time to listen as a teacher and he was outstanding in his subject area of Geography. Even 25 years later, I still recall a lesson of his on deserts and rivers. Sleep easy Sir. Xx

Really sad to hear about the passing of Mr Fraser. He was my geography teacher over 20 years ago in S1 & S2 and was such a lovely, kind, funny and inspiring man. He was one of the best and genuinely cared about his pupils. Thinking about his family at this sad time.

Really sad to hear about the untimely passing of Mr Keith Fraser. A genuinely kind, gentle and caring man who always went above and beyond for his students - he always was a great support. He was my Geography Teacher and my PT Guidance, and last time I met him maybe 6-7 years ago I was doing that same job and he was asking so many questions and was so proud. What a brilliant guy who impacted thousands of people’s lives. His family should be very, very proud. Rest easy, Mr Fraser. RIP xx

So sorry to hear of Mr Fraser's passing. We had many a laugh and conversation during my time at Lornshill. He was a genuinely lovely person and will be very sorely missed. It was a pleasure to have known him.

So sorry to hear sad news. Walked down for transport to McLaren High every morning. Happy memories of skating on Ochlochy and his Gilbert and Sullivan performances were legendary ..so talented.

I met Keith in 1959 in the Maths Class at McLaren High School Callander. I have a distinct memory of him greeting me with charm and friendliness. We shared lots of laughs during our time at McLaren High. Time passed by, then we met again when I organised a reunion for FPs in 2008. After that we met annually for lunch with a group of FPs till we were hit by the pandemic last March . We spoke briefly on the phone last November when we said our goodbyes. Though we did not see each other more than annually I will miss him dearly as a very well respected friend and fellow musician.
