Barry GeorgeFREESTONEWith great sadness, I Paul , wish to announce the passing of my very special dad, Barry George Freestone, at the Florence Nightingale Unit on Saturday 11th June, aged 91 years. Now reunited with his beloved wife Elizabeth (Betty) and late son Gary. A devoted husband for 65 years and a very loving father for 54 years. Barry spent most of his life in Derby working at Rolls Royce as a grinder for 37 years. He was only away from Derby for 8 years, when he served in the Royal Navy and became a petty officer and when living in Scotland met his wife Elizabeth (Betty). He will be much missed by his son Paul and grandson Kevin (Gary's son). "Save a place in Heaven for me Dad." A memorial service will be held later at Kiwi House Care Home. Donations welcome to Kiwi House Residents Fund (to be made directly to Kiwi House) or Macmillan Cancer Support via his tribute page at www.wathalls.co.uk All enquiries please to Wathall's Tel. 01332 752377.
