It was with the saddest heart that I heard about Mervyn’s passing, I know how much both he and Mary ment to each other. I will always think of him as a ‘Proper Person’ who no one had a bad word to say about. God rest his soul in our thoughts and Prayers🙏🙏

A pleasure and a privilege to have worked with you at the public inquiry on behalf of the families caught up in the Bristol children’s heart scandal. A tragic loss. An excellent solicitor who went the extra mile and beyond for his clients. You will be missed by your clients as well as your family and many friends, Laurence Vick

I Can't believe we first met in the 70's! Yes Beattie & Co. What a great time with the best staff, and that Black Porche you had. What a statement. Rest in peace Merv x

Mervyn was a BIG man;
Big in his love for Mary.
Big in heart.
Big in stature.
Big in moustache
Big in voice.
Big in humour.
Big in intellect.
Big in enthusiasm for golf and his club.
Big in his dedication to work.
Big in dedication to saving lives when on watch with me at Boscastle NCI.
Big in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Mervyn has left a big hole in our lives.
