Dear Phil,
I last spoke him when he was first in hospital, I was asking his advice on where to take my old clock for repair.
Thankfully, he steered me away from where NOT to take my old clock.
Later, I tried in vain to telephone him.
So very sad to hear that Phil has died.
My Wife Gail and I first met Phil &Sally through the Triumph Stag Club in the 1980's. We always enjoyed each others company and had quite a memorable mini holiday together the Scilly Isles in 1987.
Phil was someone that I was pleased and proud to have known, and it is a tragedy that we have lost him.
