AngelaGALLACHER(O' Donnell) Dearly loved wife of Charlie for 58 years and beloved mother of Paul, Angela passed away peacefully on 29th April 2026, aged 84 years; cousin, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, great-great aunt and dear friend to many. Born in Galway in 1941 but raised in Coventry, Angela was always so proud of her Irish roots.
Angela attended Christ the King and Bishop Ullathorne schools where she was well known for her running and netball skills. Angela worked for several car firms throughout her extensive career including the Alvis and Jaguar Cars, starting in the typing pool, then as a secretary and ultimately retiring as a 'buyer' with Jaguar Cars. Her shorthand skills and beautiful handwriting will always be remembered.
Angela was an avid Coventry City fan and as a tribute, mourners are invited to wear at least a splash of sky blue, or anything they feel Angela would have loved. She always had such a wonderful sense of humour and her beautiful sense of fun will remain with us all and forever treasured.
Always a skilled knitter, in her later years, Angela would make outfits and hats for the babies on the Neonatal Unit at UHCW, showing her endless caring and selfless nature.
Angela is missed so very dearly by Charlie and Paul, as well as her nephews and nieces, their families and all who knew and loved her.
Angela's Requiem Mass is at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Harefield Road, Coventry CV2 4BT on Wednesday 27th May 2026 at 12.30, followed by interment at Lentons Lane Cemetery, Shilton Lane, Coventry CV2 1AA.
