Another year and it still feels like yesterday and I hate that. I get on with the day, every day, I still feel empty though, most smiles feel fake when asked how im doing, I'm just being right now, sort of numb. I bought an apple tree for you yesterday, trying to do something nice with the front garden, I definitely dont have your green fingers though, I've sat on your bench and asked for you to inspire me, make sure I dont kill anything in the garden, maybe give me a helping hand from the other side eh! I miss you so much it hurts. Love you dad xxx

I miss you so much, I think about you everyday. Do you remember that weird feeling either one of us use to get when we just knew I was on me way to yours, or you where on your way to mine? I had that feeling yesterday, it was strange because I knew you wherent coming, but still had that feeling, I said to Steven yesterday, I feel like me dads going to knock on me door the day, I know its stupid, how can I still get that feeling when your not here? I guess it just doesn't go away, I can live with that, its the knowing your not going to be knocking that just doesn't sit well with me. There's been so many times I've needed to come to you, to knock on the back door and just crumble into your arms, I sometimes just picture it instead and make up a whole thing in my head, where you ask me if I wanna cuppa and to tell you what's happened, I picture you putting your hand on my back, because I'm sitting in the chair next to yours, and you saying "you'll be alreet ". It makes me smile when I do that, then it seems like you haven't gone.

I miss you so much. I wrote you a letter, I just needed to talk, I miss being able to just turn up and talk. I talk to you every day, people will think I've gone mad if they could hear me talking to you, but I do it because I know your with me.
