EvanGANDYof Burnley Road East passed away at Royal Blackburn Hospital on February 20, aged 79. A foreman at Chloride in Bolton for over 25 years, Evan then moved on to Rossendale General Hospital as a head porter, and prior to retirement worked at Rawtenstall Tesco as a fishmonger. Evan enjoyed photography, walking and the outdoors, He loved gardening and his allotment, as well as making wine and real ale. He enjoyed a pint of real ale, travel and spending time with his grandchildren. Evan was a member of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) He leaves his wife, Sandra, brother Charlie, sister Sheela and brother-in-law Mark and sister-in-law Pat, and late brother Albert. Four sons, Mark, Martin, Mike and Rob and step-daughter Carly, and 10 grandchildren. The funeral service will take place at Burnley Crematorium on Tuesday, March 4 at 12.15pm.
