Colonel EdwardGARDENERlate PARA Retired. Founder of The Red Devils Free Fall Team. Passed away peacefully on 27th May 2023, surrounded by his family, aged 84 years. Beloved Husband of Janet, much loved Father of Fiona and The Late Ian Gardener, Grandfather of Edward, Olivia, William and Tom. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held at St Andrew's Church, Chew Magna on Friday, 16th June at 2.00 pm. Family flowers only. Donations if desired for The Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces Charity are being accepted in memory of Edward by Michael W Rowe Funeral Directors, 2, The Vinery, Harford Square, Chew Magna, BS40 8RD. Edward was a remarkable person, achieving all a life can give, and no doubt supported by respectful love from family and friends. While my acquaintance was limited to the last few years I enjoyed wonderful conversations and insight into his past. No doubt, a man to be remembered as a gentleman, soldier, and loving family man. My condolences to all in the family and especially those who took an active and inspirational role in his funeral. May God bless you all.
