VeraGARDNERPeacefully on Thursday, December 5, at Springhill Care Home, Vera, aged 95. Loving wife of the late Richard, she was dear cousin to Alwyn and Alan, a much loved relative to Lindsay, Andrew, Karen Lauren, Stephen, Matthew and Robert, also friend to Karen, Kathy and Lois. Vera was a loving, caring lady whose life was centred around her family and friends. Vera enjoyed her work and held numerous office positions, although fond memories were made when she owned a newsagents on Nuttall Street in Accrington with her husband Richard and her cousins Alwyn and Alan. Vera was a very sociable person and loved the company of friends and family, whether it be at home or on holiday travelling the world. Vera was also known for her smart appearance and took great pride in the way she looked, she loved shopping for clothes and liked a bargain. Vera will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her. A funeral service and committal took place at Accrington Crematorium on Thursday, November 19, at 1pm.
