JoanGATHERAR(née Chapman) (West Denton, formerly of Walker) Peacefully in hospital on 12th October after a short illness, aged 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Edward, very much loved mother of Joan, Anne and Christine, and mother in law of Terry, Reg and the late Richard. Also a devoted grandma of Rosalind, Richard, Lee, Warren, Helen, Victoria, Thomas and the late Daniel, great grandma of Eddie, India, Molly, Maisy, Maia and Emily, and a loving sister of Barbara, Harry and the late Dorothy and John. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. Would family and friends please meet for service at The West Road Crematorium, Newcastle, on Tuesday 1st November at 12:30pm. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Crohn's and Colitis UK. A donations box will also be available at the Crematorium. W.S. I was very sad to hear of Joan's passing. She was a lovely lady and a special friend. I will always have fond memories of dancing with her at the tea dances and have to say she was a wonderful dancer.
