Marjorie was born in Halstead were her funeral will be held at Bluebell Cemetery, Watercroft's Wood, Old London Road, Halstead, TN14 7AE at 12.30pm on Tuesday 29th March 2022. No flowers but donations in memory of Marjorie to Children with Cancer, sent to the funeral directors, W Hodges, 48 London Road, Riverhead, Kent, TN13 2DE.

We met Brian and Marjorie Geer when we first moved to Bullfinch Lane in 1997.
Marjorie was always cheerful, and enjoyed nothing more than basking in the sunlight at the back of number 40. Her birthday is 7th August, and I last saw her just before her 90th birthday, around July 2020, in the slight respite after the first lockdown. I think I had gone to deliver something, and we enjoyed a pleasant and very socially distanced chat in the sun.
I remember she said that Brian’s family moved to house in 1933 when he was three, and that his mum brought up a family of five in the house. Originally the house had a flat roof at the back which was extended to add upstairs bedrooms.
It is sad to think that of the long established couples we met in 1997, Marjorie is the last of them to pass away.
