GEORGE BERNARD SHAWSHAW (Wrekenton). Suddenly but peacefully, at home on 20th October 2009, aged 55, George Bernard (Bernard), beloved husband of Christine, devoted dad and friend of Dean and Lisa, father-in-law of Amanda and Karl, adoring granda of Abbie and a much loved brother, uncle, in-law and friend of many. The life and soul who will be sorely missed, never forgotten, always loved. Service to be held at Saltwell Crematorium on Wednesday 28th October at 1.30pm. Afterwards at Stormont Main W.M.C., Wrekenton. Family flowers only please, a collection will be made in lieu of flowers for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation. At Bernard's request Hawiian shirts can be worn. You have earned your wings, now you can fly with the Angels.

Bernard you have gone from my life but never from my heart. My life will never ever be the same without you. No words can say how much I miss you. I am so lonely and lost without you. You were such a devoted husband, dad and grandad. You battled on for over a year and never complained. My heart is broken as I wasn't there to say goodbye. You are one person who deserves those wings so take them with pride and fly. I will always love you forever. R.I.P My darling husband.

Dad, you were the life and soul of a party, your smile could always light up a room. You were always there for me and always will be. I may have lost you from my life but never from my heart and soul. I can always remember silly little things we did together like picking you up from the club on a Sunday and you used to ride my bike back home with me on the handle bars (how did I not hurt myself?). Now you aren't here anymore to see me have my 1st baby, your second grandchild. You aren't even going to see me look after my mam. Well R.I.P. Dad. Gone but never ever forgotten.
