GEORGE HEDLEYHEDLEY (Birtley). Passed away suddenly but peacefully at home, on 24th January, aged 81 years, George Armitage, beloved husband of the late Irene, Roslyn (nee Young), loving dad of Bob, Margaret, George and Jeff, much loved father-in-law of Verna, Rob, Lynne and Susan, devoted grandad to Scott, Karen, Alison, Ian, Jill, Jordan and Nathan. He will be greatly missed by all his family and many friends. Would friends please meet for service at St. John's Church, Birtley on Friday 1st February at 1.15pm, followed by cremation at Birtley Crematorium at 2.00pm. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Cancer Research.
