Edna TeresaGERRARDEdna Teresa Gerrard, a loving wife, mum and nanna, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 11, aged 65. Edna was born in Carlisle to Ellen and Clifford Ashworth. Settling in the Valley as a teenager, she attended Whitworth High School. She then completed her nursing degree and worked for a short time at Bury General Hospital before taking various roles of employment in Rossendale. She leaves her beloved husband Steven, son Steven, and daughter-in-law Tegan. Loved grandmother to Shinelle, Charlie and Amelia, she was sister to Cliff, Neville and Edward, and sister-in-law to Angela, Steph and Ruth, Kevin and Keith, extended family and work colleagues the Laurels Care Home, Bacup where Edna worked as manager until her recent illness. The most beautiful person with the kindest heart and most loving soul, she will be sadly missed and loved by all her knew her. May you rest in eternal peace.
